Rabbit Farming Project
A Profitable Venture with a Greenhouse Expansion Plan
Rabbit Farming
We embarked on our rabbit farming journey with a focused plan and clear goals. The project began with 7 female rabbits and 1 male rabbit.
The cost per female was 15,000 XAF, and the male rabbit was 20,000 XAF. Additionally, we invested in constructing proper housing for them—14 cages with an automated water drinking system, which amounted to 250,000 XAF for machines, building materials, and labor.
For feeding, we initially budgeted 100,000 XAF. However, we only used 40,000 XAF, as we discovered an efficient way to reduce costs by feeding them with grass, herbs, and vegetables. This not only cut expenses but also ensured that the rabbits received a more natural diet, contributing to their well-being and growth.
Total Investment Breakdown:
- Female Rabbits (7 x 15,000 XAF): 105,000 XAF
- Male Rabbit: 20,000 XAF
- Construction (Machines, Materials, Labor): 250,000 XAF
- Feeding (Budgeted 100,000 XAF, Used 40,000 XAF): 40,000 XAF
Total Investment: 415,000 XAF
This project is already showing promise, with the rabbits adapting well to their environment and diet. As we move forward, we are excited about the growth and opportunities this venture will bring, not just in terms of rabbit farming but also in producing natural resources like DAWEILIZER for sustainable agriculture.
