The Journey of Agbor Davis Tabot
Early Beginnings
From a young age, Agbor Davis Tabot was captivated by the art of cooking. He spent countless hours experimenting with ingredients, refining flavors, and perfecting his culinary craft.
First Restaurant: A Taste of Success (2010)
In 2010, he took a bold step and opened his first restaurant in Buea, Cameroon. The restaurant quickly gained popularity, earning acclaim for its delicious offerings and unique flavors. This success became the foundation for his growing culinary empire.
International Experience: A Culinary Evolution (2015-2020)
From 2015 to 2020, Agbor Davis Tabot embarked on an international journey to refine his skills. In China, he studied the science and art of cooking, learning from top chefs and mastering advanced culinary techniques. It was during this time that he created the brand ‘Chef Dawei’, which soon gained recognition across different continents.
Brand Creation & Expansion
Upon returning to Cameroon, he founded Chef Dawei Foods Ltd., blending international experience with deep-rooted African culinary traditions. His goal? To bring African flavors to the world while innovating new food products and sustainable agricultural practices.
Milestones & Achievements
- December 6, 2021 – AgborKa Media Group: To strengthen the brand identity of Chef Dawei Foods Ltd., Agbor Davis Tabot launched AgborKa Media Group. This initiative focused on branding, marketing, and digital engagement, rapidly increasing the company’s visibility.
- November 29, 2022 – Chef Dawei Mini (China Mall PK13): The first restaurant carrying the Chef Dawei name officially opened, offering a refined culinary experience.
- March 3, 2023 – Chef Dawei FC: The second restaurant was launched, expanding the brand’s presence and attracting a growing clientele.
- May 4, 2024 – Chef Dawei Organic at Makepe: To consolidate the brand, Chef Dawei Mini and Chef Dawei FC were merged into a single flagship restaurant: Chef Dawei Organic. This establishment serves as a hub for organic, high-quality food, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Future Expansion: Bonaberi Project (2025 & Beyond)
Our next major step is the Bonaberi Expansion, which will serve as the foundation for our integrated farming operations. This large-scale project will focus on:
- Palm Weevil Larvae Farming
- Rabbit Farming
- Snail Farming
- Greenhouse Agriculture
By expanding into Bonaberi, we aim to:
- Increase organic food production
- Enhance sustainability
- Create job opportunities
- Strengthen the local economy
