From a toddler, Agbor Davis Tabot has always seen himself in everyone else. Because he loves Good Food; he also became a Chef to serve Humanity clean, healthy, and affordable food from his kitchens.
Never A Glory Without A Story
Did you know that the name Dawei is Chinese for Davis? But it’s not just a name, it carries a significant meaning – “Greatly accomplished”. And this meaning truly reflects the journey of Chef Dawei, a talented chef with an extraordinary story.
Chef Dawei began his professional career as a chef in his home country, China. With his exceptional culinary skills, he started cooking and inviting both Chinese and Caucasians to join him for dinner. Through his delicious creations, he bridged the gap between different communities and brought people together through the universal language of food.
But Chef Dawei’s accomplishments didn’t stop there. He took his passion for cooking to new heights by putting together an African community of over 300 Africans in China. Through his culinary expertise, he created a sense of home and belonging for his fellow Africans, connecting them to their roots even in a foreign land.

Ever Green Eru
Signature Menu
Eru is a vegetable from Cameroon. It is a specialty of the Bayangi people, of the Manyu region in southwestern Cameroon. It is a vegetable soup made up of finely shredded leaves of the eru or okok. The eru is cooked with waterleaf or spinach, palm oil, crayfish, and either smoked fish, cow skin, or beef. Chef Dawei Cooks an ever Green Eru, that’s one of his signature menus.
