At Chef Dawei Foods Ltd., we launched our innovative snail farming project on June 20th, 2024, starting with 300 breeder snails. Each snail was purchased at a cost of 250 XAF, totaling an initial investment of 75,000 XAF. To house the snails, we invested 100,000 XAF in high-quality building materials and an additional 35,000 XAF in labor costs to construct durable snail cages. Our total initial investment to set up this promising project was 210,000 XAF.

Project Growth and Production Potential

With optimal care and favorable conditions, each snail can lay an average of 150 eggs annually. Based on a 97% hatch rate, we expect significant population growth, projecting an impressive 10,000 breeder snails by June 2025. This growing population forms the foundation for our next venture—a large-scale greenhouse project.
